Kettle and no cups!

This is a 3D drawing of a kettle with help of construction lines. seems slightly not symmetrical but i was glad the details turned out decent enough :) however i misunderstood instructions and erased all the construction lines!!! D: my favourite is the linking part of the handle and the kettle coz that took the most effort to get it done. Also, the handle could be don better to bring out a more 3D-effect. Indeed construction lines made drawing symmetrical shapes easier xD

Textures frenzy!

As seen, the cube on the left is an observational drawing of a wooden block and the one on the right is another one of leathery surface. One main problem is that the contrast between the lines are abit insufficient so the effect is a bit unclear and flawed. This was my first attempt at texture drawing so i am still quite satisfied with this piece of work as a first-attempt experience.

LSC designs 2010

Hello this is my first post about my artwork collection :) pls feel free to comment~
This is my final design for the Lifeskills camp 2010. Firstly, i think that it is too small ( paper is A3 and the whole thing did not even cover half the space). Secondly, i felt that more creativity should be put in. thirdly, from this piece of work, i realised that we should keep in mind the general appearance of the design on a shirt and whether people would be comfortable wearing the design.

Draft of design one on above.
(same problem of being too small :/ )Draft of design 2 and 3...
Do feel free to leave comments xDxD

Coursework Statement!!

I intend to develop my ideas on the reference theme of "street myth", which i want to create mini-models of what a provision shop will appear like in the past, present and future.

What motivates me to work on this idea was firstly, I wanted to get hands-on on 3D-models after having much opportunities to do works associated with sketchings and paintings. Secondly, I felt that it is a meaningful thing to venture into the past, which people of our generation do not have much chances to do so, thus having little awareness of how things were like in the past.

It is also interesting to use my own imagination to create what is expected of the future, based on current technology developments. The models can be used to clearly contrast the distinctive differences in technology and facilities development around us.

I chose the idea of a provision shops as they are one of the places which are changing and developing rapidly over a few decades, faster than other places. Throughout the developments of the provision shops, many aspects of them were changed. In terms of manpower, furnishings, renovations, products packaging and even the shop owner-customer relationship, they contrast greatly between the past and present, and I suppose that the rate of development will be sustained at a high level.

( P.S. The finalised theme will be updated asap, hopefully with some research? :D)
